International oceanographic marine instrument and systems provider, OSIL (Ocean Scientific International Limited), are seeing increased demand for YSI 6 Series Sondes, both for real time environmental monitoring and extended deployment.

This demand is a result of the Sondes durability in harsh conditions, enabling long term deployment. The 6 Series is the perfect instrument for dredging studies, long term unattended monitoring and integration into data buoys/seabed systems. All versions of the V2 6 Series Sonde accept a range of wiped optical sensors including Dissolved Oxygen, Turbidity, Chlorophyll, Blue Green Algae and Rhodamine, which are all designed to be virtually maintenance free.

The YSI 6 Series can be deployed for between 3 months and a year, dependant on the data rate and application, making it ideal for a wide range of long term applications. As the 6 Series only require servicing annually, maintenance costs are vastly reduced, a welcome benefit.
