The ADP/ADCP is an accurate, reliable and inexpensive current and wave profiler manufactured by SonTek. It is available in a variety of ranges and configurations and is suitable for real-time current monitoring, detailed river surveys and long-term autonomous deployments. It has a profile range of 3 m up to 180 m and is suitable for deployments in excess of one year.
 

The simple to use ADP/ADCP uses SonTek’s proven Doppler technology to take the most accurate and robust current measurements possible. It measures 3D velocity in a user-specified number of depth cells and with no moving parts it is highly resistant to biofouling even in the most challenging environments. The ADP/ADCP also does not require recalibration or factory maintenance.

By using state-of-the-art transducers and electronics, designed to reduce side lobe interference problems that plague other current profilers, the ADP/ADCP can access the near-boundary (surface or bottom) current measurement which is critical to many shallow water applications.
