Currents can be measured in the sea from the surface to the seabed using a range of instrumentation from OSIL.  Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCP) are accurate, reliable and easy to use. Sideways looking ADCP can monitor channels as narrow as 0.5 m and as wide as 120 m from a single point source.  An HF wave radar system is available from OSIL which can continuously monitor surface currents from the shore out to 200 km.
